23 Years & Giving Back: 2026 Mollymook Longboarders Charity Classic Wrap-Up

At Southern Man Surf Shop, supporting local boardriders and our South Coast community isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are. We’ve been living and breathing local surf culture in Ulladulla and Mollymook since 1979, and there’s no day on the local calendar quite like the annual Mollymook Longboarders Charity Classic.

On Saturday, August 8th, the 23rd edition of the Charity Classic took over Golf Course Reef. Surfers came together from all across NSW for clean waves, great weather, and plenty of longboarding, all while raising vital funds for local families doing it tough.

Surfing for a Purpose: Supporting Local Food Relief

Every year, the Mollymook Longboarders choose causes close to home. With the rising cost of living continuing to hit local families hard, this year’s effort couldn’t have been more important.

Thanks to competitor registrations, local donations, and everyone who bought raffle tickets, proceeds from the 2026 event are going directly to two incredible local beneficiaries:

  • Milton Ulladulla District Soup Kitchen
  • Little Free Food Pantry Ulladulla

Both of these non-profits do an unbelievable job feeding and supporting community members in the Milton-Ulladulla region when they need it most.

Southern Man & Our Core Brand Partners: Packing Out the Prize Bags

As long-time major sponsors of the club, organizing and supplying gear alongside our legendary brand partners is one of our favorite traditions of the year. We love helping fill the beach with stacked prize packs for division competitors and charity raffle winners.

A massive shoutout goes to our core surf brands who stepped up with Southern Man & Rip Curl Ulladulla to supply hardware, accessories, sunnies, and apparel:

Huge thanks to: Ocean & Earth, Rip Curl, Quiksilver, Roxy, Volcom, TCSS (The Critical Slide Society), Sunbum, Carve, Billabong, Balin, Otis, Oakley, Epokhe, Afends, Dragon, and Vissla.

And a special congratulations to local legend Denise Lofts, who took home the 1st Prize in this year’s Charity Raffle—a stunning hand-shaped board by world-renowned shaper Mark Rabbidge!

Action in the Lineup

From the groms tearing up the inside to the Over-60s showing pure style, the surfing across the day was top-shelf. The junior divisions were a true standout, showing how strong the next generation of South Coast longboarding really is.

Surfing NSW jumped on board to keep the judging panel running smooth, while the Mollymook crew ran the beach BBQ, cake stalls, and heat schedules all day long.

Here’s to 23 More Years

Events like the Charity Classic show grass-roots club surfing at its absolute best: bringing people together, sharing good waves, and making sure no one in our community gets left behind.

Whether we’re providing foamies for junior club surfs or loading up the charity raffle with legendary gear, Southern Man will always be right there in the lineup supporting the Mollymook Longboarders.

A huge congratulations to all the surfers, judges, volunteers, organizers, and locals who bought a raffle ticket or cheered from the point. See you all in the water! 🏄‍♂️🌴
