Description
The Black Diamond is DHD’s true all-rounder — a genuine one-board quiver designed to handle almost anything you’re likely to surf. With extra flotation through the front half for easy paddling and wave entry, it stays forgiving and user-friendly in small, weak surf, while still offering enough performance to handle steeper, better waves when they turn on. It’s a board that covers a lot of ground and suits a wide range of surfers and conditions.

Ride it around your standard shortboard length. The added volume and width up front improve paddle power and make it forgiving across a broad range of surfers, without needing to oversize.

Rocker: Medium to low entry rocker for speed and easy acceleration
Concave:Single to double concave flowing into vee out the tail
Outline: Wider nose with the wide point pushed forward for paddle power and early entry
Rails: Forgiving through the front, more refined through the tai
Fin:Five-fin setup (Thruster or Quad compatible – FCS II or Futures)
Construction: Standard PU glassing (4 × 4 × 4), also available in EPS Epoxy
Volume Distribution:Foam pushed forward for easier paddling and wave catching
HOW IT SURFS
The Black Diamond is easy to paddle, quick to get moving, and forgiving underfoot. The extra width and volume up front help generate speed early and glide through weaker sections, while the pulled-in rounded pin tail and refined rear rails let the board sit comfortably in the pocket when waves get steeper. It feels fast off the front foot, smooth through turns, and predictable at speed. Whether it’s one-foot slop or cleaner, more powerful surf, the Black Diamond adapts without feeling out of place.
