What Does JS Surfboards Australia Stand For?
JS stands for Jason Stevenson. This man brings over two decades of experience to the surfboard industry. Originally, he worked for DH Surfboards. Later, Stevenson broke away and started his own unique company. Thanks to his experience, his boards are crafted with quality and style. World-class surfers, including Luke Egan and Julian Wilson, have used his designs with great success. Although Jason is known for creating some of the best high-performance boards for top talents, his brand also focuses on manufacturing designs that are ideal for average surfers.
Are JS Surfboards Made in China?
All JS surfboards are crafted in Australia and Thailand. None are made in China. In fact, Stevenson uses high-tech machine shaping in each design.
Where is JS Industries Located?
Since 1999, this business has worked out of Australia. However, in 2021, the company officially opened its first North American headquarters in Oceanside, California.
Are JS Industries Surfboard Items Made of Epoxy?
JS surfboards are made from unparalleled epoxy technology, as well as polyurethane. Its HYFI multi-layer construction provides a great feeling to any rider. The company describes each board as a “futuristic exoskeleton” that is lighter and stronger than anything on the market. The technology helps to maintain the perfect spring-loaded feel that enhances performance as well.
In fact, epoxy resin can be approximately 35 per cent stronger than resin construction on a fibreglass surfboard. Also, it floats better and weighs less. This leaves it less likely to become waterlogged. If you are a beginner surfer, epoxy handles regular impact from bumps better than standard fibreglass. Due to its exceptional buoyancy, epoxy boards make it easier to paddle in waves as well.
How Long are These Surfboards?
Board sizes vary. To choose the perfect board, a rider must calculate his or her ideal JS volume. This volume accounts for a person‘s height, weight, age, fitness, and types of waves that will be used. At JS, riders will find 5-foot-ten-inch boards to 7-footers. JS Surfboards Australia has something for everyone. A novice and expert will both uncover the perfect board for individual needs.
