6.00am – 8.00am – Go surfing at Manyana,
Mollymook or Bawley Point if you surf.
8.50am – Arrive at the store 10 minutes early ready for your shift at the original surf shop, Ulladulla.
9.00am – Get a real workout for the next couple of hours putting out surf clothing, accessories, wetsuits, surfboards, bodyboards, skateboards to ensure all of our product are on show and looking its best. You’ll also do some quality control, storeroom organisation and cleaning making sure we have a clean store with the best surf gear from surf brands like Billabong, Quiksilver, Roxy and Rip Curl.
10.00am – Serve customers as quickly and politely as possible so you can help out the other team members. It’s good to have a great knowledge on surf product, the days swell, location and internationals surf events.
12.00pm – You are constantly on the go – answering customer queries, answering phones and getting called to the register, merchandising, replenishing stock and cleaning up the odd spill from customers wet wetsuits.
12.30pm – 2.30pm – Have lunch while fitting in with everyone else’s lunch breaks.
2.30pm – Continue answering customer queries, answering phones and getting called to the register, surf brand merchandising, replenishing stock and cleaning up the odd spill.
5.15pm – Work with the Store Manager to complete all close down procedures, cleaning and preparing the store for tomorrow.
5.30pm – Serve the last customer and tidy up the store, make sure all air-conditioners are turned off, day lights are off and everything is locked.
5.35pm – Finish work, leave and go surfing.
